Each kit comes with instructions to make one or two suggested objects. But kids are definitely encouraged to go rogue and create their own structures, vehicles, and creatures. They can even attach the YOXO pieces to household items—cereal boxes, paper towel holders, spoons, or whatever they can get their hands on.
Founder Jeff Freeland Nelson created YOXO based on his eighth birthday present, a small box containing string, wire, and tape. He was thrilled to have the raw materials to build anything he wanted.
Now Jeff and his team are dedicated to inspiring relentlessly creative kids with locally sourced, sustainable toys. So open a YOXO kit and start building. It’s a toy the whole family can feel good about.
