Game Changer

When it comes to the game of golf, getting on the green is only half the battle. Fifty percent of most golfers’ strokes are putts. You know what to do: Keep your putter head square. Don’t roll your hands or wrists. Loosen your grip. Take it back nice and easy. Follow through smooth and steady. Oh yeah—and don’t clutter your mind with too many swing thoughts. It’s enough to make your head spin. That’s why avid golfer and instructor, Phillip Jaffe, created the Palmbird. Inspired by the birds of paradise in his garden, Phillip wondered if the key to naturally improving his students’ short game could be changing the shape and weight of their putter grip. Unlike other more lightweight grips, the Palmbird is back-weighted to provide counter balance and greater swing control. The non-tapered grip body and round shape promotes balanced grip pressure and proper positioning for both hands and wrists. USGA approved and Made in the USA, this problem solver is like a golf club grip and trainer combined. One putt and you’ll feel the difference.

Hey everyone, I'm Phillip Jaffe, Founder and Designer of Palmbird Putter Grip. I'm an avid golfer and a PGA Professional, and it was through my passion for teaching and helping others improve their putting that motivated me to design the Palmbird.

I discovered that many of my students had the same issues with putting -- and that many of these issues could be resolved by changing the shape and weight of the putter grip. So I went out to create a teaching aid and putter grip all-in-one that helps all levels of golfers putt with greater confidence and improved accuracy. Hope you like it!

Can you tell me what why I would choose this grip over say a Winn pistol or a Super Stroke grip? I.E., what makes this grip better than other oversize grips?

@Steve Hi Steve, the Palmbird will provide counterbalancing, as it is heavier than those grips and it will be a more natural fit in your palm because it doesn't have a flat surface on the front side.

How does it help you putt better? And is it legal to play with?

@Brandon Hi Brandon, yes the Palmbird conforms with USGA rules and is legal to play with at all levels. It helps you putt better because it's shape helps you to keep the putter face square to the target line throughout the stroke. It also is well balanced and doesn't taper giving you balanced grip pressure in both hands.

What is the size at the end of the grip? I have a divided 14 hole cart bag and need to know if it will fit in the designated slot.

@FRANK Hi Frank, The end cap of the Palmbird measures 1.07 wide by 1.65 inches. We recommend the STX Golf Putter Caddy if it doesn't fit in the slot. You'll love the Palmbird!

@J Hi J, The Palmbird works for everyone. In fact, if you have a smaller hand you won't have to grip as snuggly giving you more surface area for your palm to be on the grip. That means it makes it easier for you to take your "palm" down the line when you are putting.
