Hi Everyone, It’s Eric and I am excited to introduce the Nail Station from Polder. The Nail Station is safe and simple to use to dry your nails quickly whether you want to dry your hand or just touch up a nail. In addition, it can store your tools and polishes conveniently. Think of the fun you can have with your friends!

Hello Eric,
What a great idea as a Christmas gift for my daughter. I have only one question. Does it run on batteries or line power?
Jeff -
@Jeff
-
@Eric Hi Jeff, I know your daughter will love The Nail Station. It runs on 110 V so it has a cord.
-
Looks like a great idea, but I would prefer an LED light instead of UV, given all the concerns about UV light. Any chance the Nail Station will be available with an LED light in the near future?
-
@KATHRYN It is an LED light, in the UV spectrum. Only UV light will cure gel nails.
-
@Donna Yes it is an LED light within the UV Spectrum and will last for years.
-
Can this only be used w/ gel or acrylic nail polish?
-
@Kathleen Hi Kathleen,
Great question. The UV light will cure gel polish and the fan will cure acrylic polish. -
How often will the bulb need to be replaced and how expensive are the replacement bulbs?
-
@Leeann Hi Leeann,
The bulb should never need replacing. -
Is it USB only? Does it also use DC power with a plug?
-
@Gail The cord on one end has a USB connection which connects to the Nail Station. The other end has a plug that fits into any wall outlet.
-
@Eric Thanks
-
What is the voltage or wattage on this. I have one but it is old. They have vastly improved since I bought mine.
-
@Joannie It is 110 Volts
-
it doesn't appear that she can put her entire hand in the opening (thumb sticks out).
-
@Nancy Sorry for the delay Nancy, I had answered the same question for someone else and thought it was you. The Nail Station will fit a smaller hand including the thumb. I have two female colleges in my office and the Nail Station fit one but not the other.
-
Looks like your thumb nail doesn't quite fit into the dryer/UV light. how much space is available when drying?
-
@Robin While it is wide enough to accommodate most hands, you would have to dry your thumb separately due to the length and position of your thumb.
-
Such a great idea! But, Eric, as a man, have you ever dried your nails this way? Do you realize that just drying your thumb separately will double the time you need to sit in front of the machine? And, since you can't do both hands at the same time, like you would in a salon, you already have to spent twice as much time to do both hands at home. You need to rethink the design. Please make it wide enough to do the whole hand at the same time. Sorry, but close isn't good enough.
-
@Jeanie As someone with a 14 year old daughter I have been a guinea pig many times and had to dry my thumb separately. She however could dry her whole hand at once, so it depends on the size of your hand. (Tongue in cheek) Perhaps doing you nails while binge watching could help pass the time while drying your nails. I will pass on your comments and perhaps a deluxe version could be made available in the future. Overall the Nail Station has had great reviews and is great value.
-
Hi ... I have an old one and wondered if this is the latest technology. How hot do the bulbs get? Today one can dry their nails in 5 minutes ... mine takes 20 minutes.
-
@Joannie Yes the LED based UV Technology is the latest technology and does not give off any heat. There are a lot of variables in terms of how long it will take; gel vs acrylic, humidity, how many coats and how thick you spread it on. Regardless, it will take a lot less time then 20 minutes.
-
Hi, how are you doing? Fine, I hope. I'm really thinking about purchasing this looks good. And it can dry gel polish right?
-
@andrea Hi, yes it absolutely can dry gel nails. The LED based UV light in the Nail Station will do the trick!
-
Eric @Christine, Can you use the machine with just the fan to dry nails. Not using UV light?
-
@Christine Yes the switch allows you to choose either UV Light or the fan.
-
How long does it take to dry gel polish. At the salon it takes no time at all. I saw where someone was saying how long it would take to do the thumbs separately. No one does two hands at the same time.
-
@Carole It would be fairly quick but will very based on humidity in the air and how thick you put on the gel.
-
I forgot to ask about acrylic as very few salons use acrylic. I have never seen an acryclic nail polish.
-
@Carole You would use the fan for acrylic nails.
-
Would it be roomy enough for toes?
-
@Sara Hi Sara, From a performance and safety perspective yes you can put your toes in the Nail Station. My colleague with a woman's size 10 shoe fit in it without any issues so have at it!
