Company Overview

The Grommet is a product launch platform. This means we find unique, undiscovered products and help them succeed. We have launched over 2,000 companies since 2008. Many have gone on to become household names. (For example: SodaStream, IdeaPaint, FitBit, Bananagrams, and FoodShouldTasteGood) Our goal is to level the playing field so the best companies can win. Until The Grommet came along, that was simply not always the case. In the summer of 2014 we launched a new Wholesale Platform at the White House Maker Faire to connect these independent Makers with Main street retailers, supporting both and ensuring their long-term success. This event was held in response to President Obama’s call to action for young people to be Makers, not just consumers of things. Our end goal is that within five years 10% of all products flowing through U.S. retail are originating from independent small-scale Makers, creating vibrant jobs and innovative products in every corner of our country.

At this point, we can predict the future when it comes to consumer products and companies. We take that responsibility seriously while enjoying every minute of this inspirational work.

Mission Statement

We produced this quaint video in 2008. We keep it on the site because it is still accurate. It also keeps us connected to our roots.
