lightweight, small volumn, perfect for backpacking

I previously purchased the small pot. I got the large pot to accomodate my Bakepacker insert.
Mostly a novelty

There is nothing WRONG with this item. It works perfectly well. The normal test is boiling water, and a quart should hit a rolling boil between 7 and 10 minutes. It took almost 20 minutes to hit a boil, but that's partly because I had the stove at MEDIUM heat, since that's what the instructions said. Apparently high heat can cause damage. It definitely worked, but I'd say it's more a novelty than a practical device.

Collapsible Outdoor Cooking Pot

choose option

This collapsible camping pot is worth writing home about. Rather than packing large, heavy pots and pans for outdoor adventures, you can just tuck a compact, lightweight Bear Bowl into your pocket. The durable Teflon surface folds and snaps together for campsite cooking, eating, and easy cleaning. Use it as a pot to boil water or leave one side flat to use it as a pan.

Bear Minimum

Bear Minimum is the missing link for a complete survival kit. The signature Bear Bowls were created by Cory Santiago, who’s embraced the great outdoors of the Pacific Northwest since childhood. After working in manufacturing for more than 15 years, the adventurous husband and father of five sought to manufacture his own dream product: an item that could improve how campers prepare food. Partnering with his wife, Heidi, the pair cooked up the ideal solution.

The resulting Bear Bowls are a camper’s kitchen lifesaver. Crafted of fire-resistant Teflon, they fold into a compact packet that fits in a pocket. Use them to boil water, rehydrate meals, and cook food over a controlled flame. The slick surface snaps together to make a pot, pan, skillet, or plate, plus effortlessly washes clean so you can eat and repeat while enjoying the elements.
