So far so good

I've only been using these for a few weeks, but so far I have to say they seem to be helping. Easy enough to throw them in my crisper drawer with my veggies. I have one in my other drawer with my fruit as well. And I had peaches bought at the same time, a few I threw in the drawer with the bluapple and the others in a drawer w/out it. The ones with the bluapple lasted longer by a few days than the others.
Not happy with results

I placed my BluApple in my refrigerator drawer, which has worked well. However, I put one in with my countertop peaches (in a bag as recommended) and the peaches proceeded to ripen AND mold quickly. They were hard when I bought them, so it wasn't that I purchased the peaches that were already overripe. I may be returning these BluApples.
elongating life of my veggie drawer

seems to be helping veggies stay fresher longer; like it!
Seems to have lengthened the life of my fruit in the bowl!

I put one apple in the counter fruit bowl with a paper towel lightly over the bowl (not the apple) and it did extend the life of an apple, nectarine and banana. I put one in the veggie drawer and while the carrots, green beans, and spinach did well, the head of organic broccoli turned yellow and limp very quickly and it was only a couple days old.

Produce Preserver (2-Pack) with Activated Carbon

Bluapple with Activated Carbon absorbs and neutralizes the ethylene gas given off by produce to keep it fresh 2-3 times longer than normal, as well as ridding your refrigerator of odors. Just place your Bluapples inside your crisper drawer, on a shelf in your fridge, or in a fruit bowl on the counter, and you're good to go.

Timmy Chou

No one likes wasting fruits and vegetables, yet the average family of four throws away as much as $600 worth of spoiled produce each year, according to the USDA (it’s not all that hard to imagine when an organic apple can cost $1.50). We’ve discovered an easy way to preserve the edible life of your produce, so you have more time to consume it instead of composting it. With this simple little product called BluApple, you can extend the storage life of produce by as much as threefold.

BluApple works by absorbing ethylene gas, which is given off naturally by fruits and vegetables. If ethylene gas builds up in your food storage area, it speeds the ripening process and accelerates decomposition. Entrepreneur Timmy Chou, who founded BluApple, was inspired by the science applied for years to prevent spoilage in industrial environments like ocean liners, trucks and warehouses. He created a consumer product that makes use of the same non-toxic active ingredient (sodium permanganate). Each BluApple can absorb ethylene gas in a typical home refrigerator, produce bin or storage container for about three months (after that, refill packets are available). Simply place a BluApple where you keep your fruits and vegetables, and then sit back and enjoy them. . . for much longer. more Their Story
