Golf-centric backyard game · High-density foam balls have true spin and trajectory · Easy to stow
The Chippo Outdoor Golf Game combines cornhole and chip shots to make for a fun new golf-centric backyard game. Golfing buddies (or solo players) can use their own clubs to hit from turf-covered chipping mats into the netted holes. High-density foam balls have true spin and trajectory so they feel like the real thing, but won’t cause damage like a real ball can. The game boards are made with lightweight and durable plastic that’s easy to stow or move to wherever you want to play.
Chippo is the golf-based dream game of Maker Brendan McAuley. An avid golfer, Brendan thought combining his favorite sport with his favorite pastime—playing backyard games—was a winning idea. His brother-in-law and golfing buddy, Matt, soon joined him to help create this fun new take on a classic game.
The approach is similar to cornhole but instead of tossing bean bags, you’re chipping golf balls. You use your own club and though there are rules and a scoring system, you can make up your own way to play or just practice chip shots.
Unlike traditional cornhole boards, Chippo boards are made with lightweight (but tough) plastic that’s easy to move or take along to the beach, a cookout, or wherever you want to play.
High-density foam balls were a deliberate choice for this game. They hit like the real thing but won’t cause damage like real balls can. Brendan and Matt also made sure to cover the chipping mats with turf, which they knew golfers like them would appreciate.
