Love this!!

Such an amazing product. Really creative way of just telling someone you are thinking of them. And a great idea for young kids to connect with their grandparents too in an independent way since they don’t often have the words or attention to hold a full conversation and can’t read yet, but they can figure out that when they want to say I love you to grandma, they touch the lamp and it turns “their” color, and then grandma can reply using her color to say I love you back. It’s simple. It’s sweet. And it’s a great gift to keep families close.
Awesome way to keep in touch!

We purchased a set of these lamps as part of a graduation gift for our neighbor girl (who is more like a daughter) to take with her to college. It is a great visual reminder for her and our family that we are thinking of each other every day. We also love that you can customize the colors and plan on expanding the set as additional kids graduate.

Sometimes you want to tell someone you're thinking of them when they're struggling to deal with stressful circumstances, but it can be hard to find just the right words when you most need them. When I first saw the Filimin Friendship Lamp, I thought immediately how wonderful this would be to share with my best friend of 50 years, who lives 2000 miles away...and it definitely has been. The lamps are perfect: my friend has recently begun chemo for stage 4 cancer, and I can touch my lamp and she knows instantly that I'm thinking of and praying for her. She doesn't have to talk on the phone or respond to a text or email when she's sick or exhausted, but she knows I'm there. When words are inadequate or you simply don't know how to express what's in your heart (or don't want the other person to feel obligated to talk or write), the radiance of the friendship lamp sends the message for you. I often follow a tap of the lamp with a brief text or emoji(s), and my friend or her husband can do the same if they choose. I want to figure out how she can send different colors to express different messages (e.g., call me, I love you, I'm feeling sad/scared/tired, etc). It's amazing how it warms your heart to see the friendship lamp begin to glow! Everyone asks me where they can get a set, and I've referred dozens of people to the Grommet and Filimin. Thank you so much for this way to be more closely connected to my dearest friend, despite the miles between us.

this is my second set since the first ones were such a HUGE hit with our parents in Texas...they purchased additional ones to connect everyone and we currently have hugs coming from 4 different states. This year we happened to have a death in the family and I have to say those Hug Lamps were such a healing way to keep us all together..... my new set is going to be just for my sister and myself so we can connect since she currently moved to another state.... Love the lamps! Very easy to set up!!
I love this!

I have been looking for another way for my nieces and I to connect. I am currently free of cancer but am facing chemotherapy, radiation and 10 years of oral medication or just radiation and 10 years of medication This is a perfect way for us to keep in touch during the day other than text. We all live in 3 different states. It brings us closer We may get one more as a graduation present so that our great niece can take it to college with her next year

Want to stay in touch? Tap a connected touch lamp, and the WiFi-connected lamp of a friend, family member—or an entire network of your favorite people—will light up in your special color. (There are over 200 to pick from, so pretty much everyone can have a special color.) It's a simple but meaningful way to check in, say hello, and keep relationships strong. Set-up is easy, and you can pair as many lamps as you like. Made in the USA.

Across town, across the country, or across the globe. Filimin connected touch lamps make it easy to stay close with special people in your life, wherever you are—and they were created by Makers John Harrison and Vanessa Whalen for that very reason.

John DIY-ed the first version of this WiFi-connected lamp as a gift to help make it easy to keep far-flung family members feeling close. Just tap the lamp and the buddy lamp of a grandparent, kid away at school, or even an entire group of friends will light up with your designated color (there are over 200 to pick from). It's a simple but meaningful way to let someone know you're thinking of them without relying on a phone.

Since Filimin began in 2014, John and Vanessa have kept in close touch with their community, too. The lamps are made in their hometown of Wichita, Kansas, in part with the Women's Initiative Network, which helps women recovering from abusive situations find employment. Filimin also employees refugees aided by The International Rescue Committee. more Their Story
