I have only used once. I was glad to have it to try, no problems so far
Does not work

Used as directed the first time and very little grease was absorbed. Most ran down the drain. On subsequent uses have had to make a cup out of tin foil to catch the grease that drains out the bottom. Would not buy again.
Great for septic

I ordered these because we have a septic system and septic failure is expensive. I love the fact that I can throw this away and not have to keep otherwise recyclable cans for grease. At first I thought this will be a little expensive if I am not pouring the full capacity of grease into the Fogsafe, but I soon learned to set it aside and continue to poor grease into it after several days of cooking. My only objection, is it is quite ugly sitting near the sink waiting to use again. I will find an alternate place of storage. Great product!
Circling the drain ..

... but not clogging it! I don’t use a lot of fat, but what to do with what I do use has always been a dilemma. These filters do the trick.

Grease & Oil Absorbing Drain Guards

This recycled paper grease catcher absorbs cooking fat, oil, and grease for easier and safer disposal—and to cut down on kitchen clogs, smells, and sewer backups. Use one from this pack of nine in the sink or on the countertop and then easily dispose of it in the trash.

FOG Safe

FOG Safe was created by Shawn Santos, a general contractor and rental property manager in Hawaii. After encountering a kitchen drain so clogged with cooking grease that it took almost an hour to clear, Shawn was determined to find a safer way to dispose of kitchen grease. And when he couldn’t find the just-right fix, he decided to make it himself.

The result: FOG Safe, which specifically targets fats, oils, and grease (get it?). Made with recycled paper, each grease catcher fits into a drain—or you can use one on the counter or in the sink—and absorbs up to four ounces of oil (about the amount of grease from a pound of bacon). Best of all, it gets tossed out in the trash, so drains and pipes stay free and clear. more Their Story
