Haiti Projects

As the founder of Haiti Projects, Inc., Sarah Hackett has been working in Haiti for over 15 years and is all about grassroots projects that enable the Haitians to help themselves. Sarah is fighting poverty on multiple fronts—supporting local medical clinics, building libraries to foster literacy, providing micro-loans to farmers—but it’s her work with a sewing cooperative that we’re featuring. Sarah works with women artisans in Haiti who are enabled to work from home and earn fair wages for their craft. From a timeless nightgown to lovely laundry helpers, not only are you getting beautifully unique pieces but you are truly helping to make a difference.
