Ironwood Tool Company has been making garden tools for decades, and was named by Maker Chris McGregor after a type of hardy trees and shrubs with dense branches to symbolize the toughness of their gear.

Chris was a landscaper and landscape designer who knew that improvements could be made to the tools he used every day. He started with an evolution of improvements to the standard pruner, the highlight being a ratchet system that gives you more force with less effort.
