Great Seeds, Great Mission.
07/12/2019 by JD
Bought the Herb Garden Seed Kit because it had every variety I wanted in a beautiful package. Love the grow guide since I was a rookie. Plus, I am impressed with MAUROs grow one, give one giving model. Glad to know that buying their seeds helps others. Bought one for me and 2 more for housewarming gifts. They loved them! Totally recommend.

Non-GMO Seed Kit

Grow one, give one with non-GMO seeds made with a mission. Each curated kit of heirloom seeds comes with seven to eight types of veggies or fruits that grow well together in the same season—think carrots and spinach in cool weather, or cucumbers and watermelon in warmer seasons. A charming growing guide helps you get started, and for every pack of seeds sold, one is donated to someone in need to help combat hunger. Made in Tennessee.

MAURO Seed Co.

Mauro Seed Co. Maker Dave Mauro and his family decided that the best way to help combat hunger is from the soil up. They’re making non-GMO heirloom seeds in Tennessee for folks to grow gardens, and they give seeds to those in need, too.

The Mauro family makes it easy for first timers to get started by grouping seeds together in kits based on growing season. So things like basil and cilantro are in the herb garden pack, and peas, spinach, and carrots make up a kit for cool-weather growing. A sweetly illustrated guide helps you along.

Heirloom seeds are passed down through generations and are thought to be more flavorful than commercially-made ones. The Mauros are even sharing their very own type of tomato in the tomato seed kit.

They give back by working with organizations around the world which get the seeds into the hands of people who need them most, and help them plant gardens. Best of all, heirloom seeds can be replanted year after year to keep the cycle of homegrown food going.
