Sabbath-Day Woods is helmed by Maker Desmond Suarez. After 18 years in furniture design and manufacturing, he became enamored with clean and durable design styles like Shaker, Danish Modern, and the American Prairie Movement. In 2002, he founded Sabbath-Day Woods in North Carolina. Inspired by his designer and woodworking parents, Desmond has continued the family tradition by partnering with his son Devin. Together, they create hardwood pieces made to last.

Desmond’s commitment to all-natural hardwood and oil finishes is evident in these small-batch serving pieces. He uses Certified Sustainable Appalachian wild cherry wood and makes each one with simplicity and functionality in mind. One is ready for bread, dips, sushi, and other bites.
