Ever since we bought one for our own grill, we've loved it so much, we've given 2 as gifts! Great invention!
Best steak Ive ever Cooked

I’ve wanted to get this for quite awhile as I have a problem over cooking my steaks. With the deal I got on Cyber Monday, I couldn’t resist. I tried it for the first time Thursday. It was so easy to use that I thought I’d done something wrong, but it did exactly what it said it would do and my steak was a perfect medium rare with a crispy outside. I can’t review how well it cooks past medium rare as I will never overlook my steak again, but I imagine it works just as well.
1st Attempt was a Failure

I have only used it once on a Porter House Steak. It seemed to be working correctly. I flipped the steak when it started flashing green. It quickly went through Yellow and Red. The steak did not appear done, but the Red light went off. I left it on a few minutes longer because I wasn't convinced it was medium well. The light never resumed flashing. When I removed the steak and let rest, it still showed signs of blood. 10 minutes later, I cut it and it looked medium rare in the center where the shaft was stuck. I will try it again, but so far, I don't see the value.
Not what I hoped for

You have to put this in the side of the steak...and keep that charger nearby.
Good addition to grilling

Easy to use and is a great assist in grilling...wish they could now invent/add remote notification (Bluetooth). Thanks for a good product!

3 Color Thermometer

This patented steak thermometer uses three LED lights to tell you when the steak is medium rare, medium, and medium well. No more guessing and no more raw or overdone meat. Get your steak exactly right, every time with SteakChamp. (Works on grill, oven, or stovetop and with duck, fish, and game, too.)

SteakChamp

To cook a steak perfectly, you need the ideal balance between time and heat. It’s an art form . . . and SteakChamp makes you a top-notch steak artist.

This patented steak thermometer uses an innovative three-light system to tell you when a steak is prepared just how you like it.

Simply turn on the thermometer with the activator, then insert into your steak. SteakChamp flashes different colors to let you know when your steak is about to be cooked medium rare, medium, or medium well. Then, when it starts to flash in double-time, the steak is ready to be removed from the heat. Boom. No more guesswork, no need to read the temperature on a meat thermometer, no more raw or charred meat.

German-born inventor Uli Sherraus and his team talked with food scientists and barbecue champions. And they also cooked more than 750 steaks to get the technology just right. The high-precision, intelligent measuring electronics they created take the core area temperature of the meat at several points along the probe. The result? A perfectly cooked steak. Or fish, duck, and wild game—it works for them, too.

Whether you cook it on the grill, in a pan, or in the oven, get your meat exactly right every time.
