This is the second time I have purchased the " small wishbones " . I keep thinking of people that might need " a wish " . I gave one to a friend last Christmas , every time we're together she mentions how much she loves it and how it reminds her of making a wish with her Grandmother . Thanks V.B.

Pewter sculpture and keepsake to mark special times in our lives.

Tamara Hensick Designs

Sometimes an object can convey just what you want to say, in just the right tone. Artist Tamara Hensick has a knack for taking a simple message—saying thank you, for example, or encouraging someone—and giving form to it. Her diminutive sculptures are a little whimsical, which keeps them from seeming too precious. When you see one of her creations, you want to pick it up and handle it, not hide it away for safekeeping.

Each of Tamara's designs is first sculpted in a soft jeweler's wax, then hand-cast in pewter by a family-owned business in California. Tamara, who says her dancing background influences her work, looks for inspiration in everyday life and finds beauty in our imperfections. She uses clever wordplay and symbolism to convey inspirational themes that express just what you want to say when a friend needs cheering up, or you want to encourage someone to stay strong, or you’re celebrating a rite of passage, such as graduation or a new job.

Spoken words are fleeting and easy to forget. But an art object, beautifully crafted with just the right sentiment, can last a lifetime.
