great product - problem replacing filter
06/03/2019 by Dorothy
All was well - received device promptly - ordered 2 replacement filters - delivered in a timely manner. Now - three months of great water and it's time to replace the filter. Opened box of 2 filters - no instructions in the box, but, hey, right on the filter that's already on the device, it has an arrow for "open" and an arrow for "close". Should be pretty simple. However, I fear that the person who put the original filter on the device must be built like either the incredible hulk or Paul Bunyan! I finally was able to twist it a little - could see that it had threads that should be easy to unscrew, but can't budge it beyond that point. I am waiting to hear back from TAPP - via email or on the website chat. I'm 80 y.o. and have arthritic hands - heading for the medicine cabinet for meds after trying to change the filter.

TAPP Water

The team at TAPP Water, lead by co-founders Magnus Jern and Alex Schwarz, is driven by the mission to eliminate plastic water bottle waste, and they’ve turned to a surprising material to help.

Their faucet filters are made with coconut shell carbon block that's mostly biodegradable, along with non-toxic bioplastics. A filter removes over 80 contaminants from water and can work for up to three months—the equivalent of filtering 400 gallons of water. Installation is straightforward and you can switch the filter on and off.

And while a filter removes things like chlorine, lead, and pesticides from water, it leaves behind good-for-you minerals, like calcium, potassium, and iron. Want to get connected to what’s happening at the faucet? There’s a Bluetooth-connected filter that updates you via its app when it’s time to order replacement cartridges and tracks things like cost savings and plastic bottle waste saved. more Their Story
