The Waterford Puzzle Company, nestled in the woods of Western Maine, is obsessed with the fine art of traditional wood puzzle making. The company was founded by three best friends, Joseph Ogden, Lizzy Dabczynski-Bean, and Spencer Bean after the three were inspired by the beauty and challenge of a small wood puzzle. Lizzy’s aunt worked for a hand-cut puzzle company and learned that the company’s owner was about to retire. The three jumped at the opportunity and in the summer of 2018 bought the small studio that had been around for more than three decades. Now, their incredibly talented team of artisans is continuing the tradition and making beautifully hand-cut puzzles for generations to enjoy.
