This cute and quirky plush talking toy helps kids stay in touch with friends and family—while providing a soft, huggable friend. It records a kid’s message, then delivers it to up to 10 (parent-approved) contacts who have their own Talkie, or to a favorite grown-up’s phone.

Sean Hummel

Talkie is a plush talking toy that delivers (and receives) messages from kids to their favorite people.

Kids record greetings, songs, jokes, or whatever pops into their head directly on their Talkie. Then they send it over WiFi to a grown-up’s phone, or to a pal who has his or her own Talkie. Messages can be saved and shared through a companion app, and up to 10 parent-approved contacts can be stored in one huggable toy.

Gauri Nanda and Audry Hill created Bitsy, Gory, and the rest of the sweet Talkie crew as a way to help kids communicate that’s more warm and fuzzy (literally) than holding a phone. And they kept the technology as simple as possible to make it easy for little ones to handle on their own.
