Lid did not withstand 2 minutes in the microwave
01/29/2019 by Beth
I bought one of these bowls and liked it enough to buy another. Have been completely happy with them until I used one in the microwave for the first time tonight. I let it run for 2 minutes and when I came back to it, the lid had collapsed into the bowl at an angle that caused it to be stuck. No matter my effort, I couldn't remove the lid. Finally, I was able to insert a knife blade deeply enough to release the suction and got the lid off. However, now the lid seems to be permanently warped. I thought, oh how stupid, I just spent $50 on plastic bowls that are not microwaveable. I thought I had made a mistake. But, in fact, the listing says they are microwave safe. Disappointing.

Very nice bowls. Too pricey really. I love the kids. They do get very warm in microwave. Heavy too.
Great salad carrier

I love the size and material of this container, it cleans up nicely. My only problem is that the components are hard to reassemble after cleaning, especially the button that holds the strap on. I use this bowl often, and am happy with it!

Portable Plastic Lunch Bowl

Lunchtime looks a lot nicer in this design-forward to-go salad bowl. Dishes like rice bowls and last night’s leftovers look more delicious, too. The bowl is easy on the eyes and on the earth. It’s crafted from BPA-free plastic with a snap-tight silicone strap that keeps the lid connected. Look at you, elevating your everyday eating experience while helping reduce waste.

W&P Design

W&P Design co-founders and former college roommates Josh Williams and Eric Prum have long loved mixing things up together, starting from their first creation—a mason jar cocktail shaker—to this modern mashup of beautiful design and lunchtime necessity.

Their reusable bowls elevate the everyday lunch experience by making leftovers look as pretty as last night’s dinner did. The benefits of these bowls don’t stop with their good looks. Both the glazed ceramic and BPA-free plastic designs have lids that are hard to lose, thanks to a silicone strap. And they’re much sturdier than typical take-and-toss plasticware. We tried these in the trusty lunchroom refrigerator; they stood out from other containers in the fridge and using them made lunch feel more special.

In addition to their mission to make healthier, eco-friendly, and affordable meals an easier addition to your everyday routine, W&P supports food education in public schools with proceeds from sales through a partnership with Edible Schoolyard NYC.
