This drug-free treatment is FDA-cleared to help ease chronic pain around the clock—even during sleep—by delivering a therapy called Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation, or “TENS.” Put Quell around your upper calf, and it generates an electric pulse through an electrode that stimulates sensory nerves, triggering a natural reaction in your brain that can block pain throughout your body. Each treatment lasts for an hour, running every other hour. You can adjust the strength or opt to skip a session. Use the companion app to time treatments, check battery life, or monitor sleep patterns.

Love it, but customer service issue?

by

I found a quell while Researching TENS units. I realized later I'd originally seen it on Grommit! My fibro pain is significantly reduced. I got I got another for my dad, who due to years of chronic pain I thought could benefit. He has skinny chicken legs and has pain around the area of the unit. I've emailed and called but not gotten a response so a little concerned about customer service. Can anyone help?More > < Less

Better Than Pills

by

I used to take 10 mg of methadone twice a day for pain. I went through rapid detox and can't take any opiates for pain because of the medicine I'm on to rewire my brain so it works without opiates. So I turned to the Quell. I wish this technology and placement had been around 10 years ago! Now I have pain relief that doesn't make me tired. The battery lasts longer than I thought it would. I can definitely tell a difference in the morning if I don't wear it at night. The only problem is that I can't find the app to download. Still wonderful on its own.More > < Less

Ok, I had to buy a second one!

This is my second Quell unit; I use them consistently and wanted the luxury of charging one unit while using the other. Quell is an awesome device for those of us with chronic pain and no meds to fix it. Try Quell. Please!More > < Less

OMG! This works!

by

Three months ago, I ended up in the hospital with a subarachnoid hematoma. My husband got me to the ER within the hour and things did resolve, but I was left with a constant headache (level 6-8) and no way to take any NSAIDs. Out of curiosity and knowing that I had nothing to lose, I tried Quell. Yes! It works! For those with chronic pain, this is a lifesaver!!!More > < Less

About Quell

Chronic Treatment

Quell is a drug-free treatment that is FDA-cleared to help ease chronic pain 24/7—even during sleep. For the millions of chronic pain sufferers out there, it’s an option that could finally mean some relief.

This is the first wearable device that can deliver a decades-old therapy, called Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation, or “TENS.” It is approved for nighttime use, which is important because chronic pain often worsens at night and interferes with sleep.

Attach Quell to your upper calf, which is an area with a lot of sensory nerves. The device sends an electric pulse through an electrode that stimulates those nerves to carry neural pulses to your brain. That in turn triggers a natural reaction to block pain throughout your body.

The sensation is a little like a warm, mild vibration. Each treatment lasts for an hour, running every other hour, and you can adjust the strength or opt to skip a session. Use the companion app to time treatments, check battery life, or track sleep patterns (but you don’t need the app to use the device).

As with most treatments, this may or may not be effective for everyone, but the results are encouraging. Studies by Quell show about 80% of people get some pain relief. Of course you should always run something like this by your doctor. But if you’re caught in a cycle of chronic pain and sleep loss, it’s probably worth looking into this pain relief wearable.
