Such a simple and genius solution to a problem vexing a significant portion of the population—what to do with readers when not using them. I’ve tried it all: strings around the neck, readers latched in the front of my blouse, multiple readers placed in strategic positions all over the house—Poor solutions at best. But this magnetic hanger keeps my reader convenient and safe while protecting my clothing. The PERFECT solution.More > < Less

The useful and the clever

I have a second pair of glasses for reading music on a stand and reading my computer. I slip my other glasses in the clip, and easily transfer between them. Also, I use headphones to my phone at the gym, and now have no problem with where that wire will be as I work out. Just so it doesn’t go in the laundry, it affixes to my other Grommet product that separates the wires to charge my phone and iPad at night. When I get up, I disconnect and have the clip on ready for the next day’s use.More > < Less

This is one of the best (and smallest) investments I have ever made. I can’t tell you how many pairs of glasses I have lost over the years. I have cooked them in oven, washed in dishwasher, thrown in trash, wrapped in newspaper from my Parrot’s cage and tossed etc. All disappeared. My Optometrist loves me! Now when I shop, I can hang my sunglasses on the clip while using glasses to read labels. Couldn’t be happier! Thank you Grommet for featuring this fabulous gem and thank you Rick Hopper for your smarts!More > < Less

It’s saving us money!

My dad has probably lost ten pairs of expensive sunglasses over the past five years because he hooks them on his shirt and they always fall off! Since I purchased this for him he hasn’t lost a single pair!
And I love mine as well!

About ReadeREST

Secure Specs

The idea to create a glasses holder came to Rick Hopper when he needed to wear his glasses more often—and he ended up dropping them more often, too.

ReadeREST is Rick’s low-profile (but so smart) solution, and it’s Made in the USA. A super strong magnet works through fabric to hold a steel clip on the outside of shirts, jackets, and other clothing.

Unlike other holders you wear around the neck and leave your glasses dangling, these help your glasses stay put when you lean over or are moving around. And if you’re already wearing your glasses, ReadeREST can hold earbuds or ID badges in place, too.
