My dad made this 40 years ago the only difference was the Walnut bars were only 1/4 inch thick he made one that was about 22 inches long

His grandmother would come over and we gather up all the stuff and cook part of the cooking process and for real Italian raviolis was calf brains. He was a butcher by trade but wood working with his love. We'd save over going to eat that night put the rest on a cookie sheet put in the freezer and then take him out of the freezer and put them in boxes whatever size you can get ahold of remember to layer wax paper or something in between. And whenever you want so many for you or a gang you ain't come out we even made her own Italian marinara sauce okay you can all come over my house for dinner LOL good luck. Gary VMore > < Less

Works as promised

The rolling pin is such a beautiful object in itself that its producing perfect ravioli is almost a bonus.

works wonderfully, and we made some delicious pasta. Past experiences were hard lumps of dough, but this made it a breeze.

About Repast

Pasta Pillows

Making homemade ravioli can be intimidating, but it’s easier to master with Repast’s handcrafted rolling pin.

Founder Michael Finizio is an engineer, woodworker, and foodie who loves bringing people together for a meal. (His company is named for the time during which a meal is eaten.) Michael wasn’t impressed with most ravioli rolling pins, so he created his own. Thoughtfully designed, this rolling pin is as much a piece of art as it is a kitchen tool.

Repast believes in sustainable living, so each rolling pin is Made in the USA from hardwood. And for every tree they use, they plant 100 more.

It won’t do everything for you, though—you’ll still need to make your own pasta sheets and filling. Spread filling across two thirds of one pasta sheet, then top with another. As you press the rolling pin firmly across the sheet, you’ll feel like a pasta master, watching deliciously plump ravioli form beneath your hands.
