The rolling pin is such a beautiful object in itself that its producing perfect ravioli is almost a bonus.

Love This

works wonderfully, and we made some delicious pasta. Past experiences were hard lumps of dough, but this made it a breeze.

need to make one for smaller pasta rollers

I have a kitchen aid pasta roller attachment on my mixer. It rolls out about a 6" sheet of pasta. If you set just two of the pillows centered in the middle of the 8" repast. I have to offset when rolling. this would work better for most pasta rollers. Great product. much faster then before. Not complaining just a suggestion.More > < Less

Nothing New

6/25/2016 by Joe

These have been used for centuries in Italy. It is not a new invention. My mother has used one her whole life. We've had one for decades, which was imported from Italy (they all were). But it's nice to see that it is being made in the US and brought to the attention of those ravioli makers who never knew they existed.

I am giving this a five-star review, but I don't have this particular one. I just know that, in general, if you want to save time making ravioli and have them look more uniform, this is the way to go.

My wife's 100% Italian & loves making ravioli's for friends & family on some holidays. She makes everything from scratch. This has cut her time done in half.More > < Less

About Repast

Pasta Pillows

Making homemade ravioli can be intimidating, but it’s easier to master with Repast’s handcrafted rolling pin.

Founder Michael Finizio is an engineer, woodworker, and foodie who loves bringing people together for a meal. (His company is named for the time during which a meal is eaten.) Michael wasn’t impressed with most ravioli rolling pins, so he created his own. Thoughtfully designed, this rolling pin is as much a piece of art as it is a kitchen tool.

Repast believes in sustainable living, so each rolling pin is Made in the USA from hardwood. And for every tree they use, they plant 100 more.

It won’t do everything for you, though—you’ll still need to make your own pasta sheets and filling. Spread filling across two thirds of one pasta sheet, then top with another. As you press the rolling pin firmly across the sheet, you’ll feel like a pasta master, watching deliciously plump ravioli form beneath your hands.
