Everlasting Eggshells

Michele Dugree is the designer behind Egg Candles and Egg Sprouts. After receiving a degree in fine arts, she set up a small studio in Northern Michigan where she and her team design and make these gorgeous ceramic containers by hand. Each of the candles is hand-poured with 100% organic soy wax produced from soy beans grown in the U.S. The inspiration for these eggs comes from the durable yet delicate shape of an egg and from the elements found in nature. The clay material shell is from the earth, while the lighting of the candles creates fire. As Michele was designing the Egg Candles, she also thought about how people could use the containers after the candles were finished. That’s when she hatched the idea for Egg Sprouts. Kids and adults alike will enjoy growing wheat grass in these containers. With name tags nestled in the grass, the Egg Sprouts make perfect place settings for a dinner party, shower, or springtime gathering. The fun doesn’t have to be over once your candles have finished burning or your wheat grass has stopped growing. Reuse these containers to hold your jewelry, paperclips, or any other small objects that need a safe place to hide.

Hello everyone and Happy Spring! I'm so delighted to be here today at the Daily Grommet to share with you two of Revisions favorite creations, our classic Porcelain Egg Candles and our Wheatgrass Egg Sprout Kits.

The snow is finally melting here in Northern Michigan and it's time to start thinking about my summer garden. Living in a remote part of the Midwest, we are surrounded with natural beauty. Hopefully wherever you are, our cute little egg inspired products can bring a little bit of that beauty to inside your home. Easter is right around the corner and we created these two products to be the perfect springtime gifts! I will be here today to answer all your questions or just chat about anything and everything. What are your favorite things about spring? Drop me a line.

Does the little bird come with the sprouts and/or the candles? Maybe I missed something, but I didn't notice it mentioned . . . Thanks!

@Kazmaniac4: Great question. The little bird comes with the Egg Candles assortment but not with the Egg Sprouts.

@Kazmaniac4: The nice part is that the bird fits tightly inside the carton tucked in between two eggs. This way it is nice and compact if you would like to give these as a gift!

@Michele Dugree: That's exactly what I had in mind! Thanks for the update.
