Unroll to Play

Grommet Launch Conversation
-
Hello everyone! I'm proud to introduce Rock n Roll It to The Grommet. I'd be happy to answer any questions you have!
-
It would be great if in the video we could hear a little bit of what the piano sounds like.
-
Hi Katie, you can get a sense of the sound below.
-
Hi Katie - Thank you for your comment. The sound quality is very good, and with the built-in speaker (that comes with the piano) it is perfect for personal play. We had a piano teacher that tested the piano and was very satisfied with the quality.
-
I'm thinking of giving the piano to an adult who is fairly sedentary and lives in a small apartment. Is it packaged as if it were a toy--mainly for children, or does it present as if it is appropriate for adults. I don't want this person to think I regard him as a child.
-
Hi Madlyn, below is a picture of the packaging. I was one of the testers and personally, I wouldn't see it as strictly a kid's toy.
-
I agree that you need to put a video on demonstrating sound quality of the instruments. Your price is soooo reasonable, that I fear the lack of audio demonstration means "you get what you pay for"
:) -
Here is a little sample of the sound, Leslie.
-
Is this a full 88 key piano keyboard?
-
@Fran Hello Fran - The Rock and Roll It piano has 49 standard keys
-
@Zvika Will this keyboard hinder a new student, due to key number?
-
@Victor I don't think so... I think that it will help to get the hang of it and fresh new students don't really use all 88 keys at the beginning... Hope this answer your question.
-
Looks like great work!
While I realize this was designed for family/kids, future idea....when feasible, come out with a version that allows for hookup to MIDI and DAW for musicians (basically this plugs into a laptop for on the go)
While these sort of things sorta exist already, the market here would be tough and flexible while inexpensive rather than fragile in the wild or tough but very pricey. -
I was considering this roll-up piano.... I see shipping is FREE over $50.00.. Why not sell this for 5 cents more so folks can get the free shipping. Kinda turn off for me.
-
Hi Vickie, we are looking into providing free shipping on Rock and Roll It sets. But $49.95 just happens to be the price of the product. We didn't purposefully set it to be under $50.
-
In fact, it is set now, so you can get free shipping.
-
Zvika - are there plans to manufacture a full 88-key piano?
-
@Susan Yes, we are discussing few plans and 88-keys is one of them...
-
Zvika - Does the piano play cords as well as individual notes? - Jerry
-
Yes... Individual notes & Cords
-
Hi everyone, just so you know, there is now free shipping available on all orders of Rock and Roll It. If you already purchased, you'll be reimbursed for shipping fees.

I am recovering from neurological issues which include nerve damage to my hands. Practicing on a piano would be therapeutic for me, but my piano is currently in storage in another state. My question concerns the size of the keys, and height of the black keys. Are the size/width of the white and black keys identical to the standard size of most pianos, and is the height of the black keys also the same? I fear, by practicing to regain proficiency on your roll-up keyboard version, which I would very much like to do, such proficiency will not later translate to a 'real' keyboard, if the size/height differential exists. Thank you for your response!
-
@Pamela I wonder about this too. How does the layout compare to a standard keyboard, in terms of reach & touch?
-
Keys height are lower than a 'regular' piano but the size is pretty close to a regular piano.
Height: ~1/16 inch
White Key dim: 4 x 3/4 inch
Black Key dim: 2 1/4 x 1/2 inch -
I am in love with this idea...what type of batteries does this use?
-
Hi, Both Piano and Drums can be powered through a USB cord (included with the item) OR through batteries: Piano require x4 AAA batteries | Drum x2 AAA batteries
-
How would this hold up in a very humid environment?
-
In a natural/ reasonable humid environment (like outdoor) it should be fine BUT I wouldn't take it to a high humid environment (e.g. Steam Room)
