Relive Life’s Adventures

Favorite hobbies are fun to revisit as the years go by, and recording the activities while you’re in the moment is a great way to preserve the memories. Isaac Childs, the founder of Rustico, created a series of handcrafted, durable journals that are designed to go wherever you go. The journals are tailored to specific activities, including golfing, fly fishing, and wine tasting. The fly fishing log provides a place to document fishing locations, weather, and catches, for example, while the wine log makes it easy to remember where you tried different wines and what you thought of each variety. Rustico journals have the weathered patina of an old-world heirloom combined with simple, clean lines. The craftspeople who make each journal are skilled at fusing traditional bookmaking methods and modern aesthetics to create timeless products. Every material is thoughtfully sourced. Rustico uses thick, top-grain cowhide leather with natural blemishes that add texture and character. The cotton-rag paper—which is created from recycled post-consumer waste—has hand-torn deckled edges and a slight texture that gives it a handmade feel. Rustico gets its leathers from U.S. tanners, and every product is made in Utah. Life is full of adventures, and Rustico’s hand-sewn journals are the perfect vessels for recording our passions.

Will we ever see one of your log books with no logo and with just plain (unlined) paper. I would have bought 2 if I'd seen them here.

    Thank You

@Joan, @k, @eugenia, I am glad that you asked! The Porter Leather Journal that you see for sale above is exactly what you are discussing. It is the same size as our log books, save the smaller Golf Log, but has blank pages. Check it out!

I agree - would love to have one that is "generic" for journaling. Also, you mention a travel journal in the video - is that the Porter Leather Journal? Any chance you could show some pics of what those pages look like? Thanks!

@Sheppard, The Porter Journal would be a great journal for traveling. Compact in nature, it can be stuffed where ever you need it to be. The pages are blank, not themed, for whatever you want to log. Thanks!

How about making one for amateur radio contact logs, and maybe flight logs for pilots.
