Yummy deliciousness

2/22/2019 by Katheryn

It arrives very well packaged. The cake was beautiful and harder to crack than you would think, but it is part of the fun. The chocolates inside were some of the best we have ever tasted. We are still enjoying little bites of the shell everyday. Once you have enjoyed this type of chocolate, there is nothing that can compare.More > < Less

Wow!

2/16/2019 by Melinda

I ordered five of the 6” cakes for my husband, my kids and friends—a big hit with all receivers. The gift is so unique and fun. My daughter melted parts of the shell and dipped fruit in the chocolate; the results were out-of-this world yumminess. ❤️ My only disappointment was that the ones I paid for with PayPal did not end up with the gift message I had written. Don’t know why, but just be advised.More > < Less

Best Gift Ever!!

12/1/2018 by Amy

I purchased this for my mother's 75th birthday. Grommet was the only place I found that you could personalize the cake, and it came perfectly wrapped and protected. It was such a hit (pun intended)! We wanted something unusual and memorable for such a special occasion and this was perfect. She LOVED it and so did all her friends who saw the posts on Facebook :) The chocolates inside were yummy, although we purchased the 30 piece and probably 15 of them were chocolate covered almonds. No worries, there was enough chocolate to go around as we turned the "cake" into a fondue with lots of things to dip in it while she opened her presents. GREAT idea. Highly recommended!!More > < Less

About Serenade Chocolatier

Smash Into Chocolate Nirvana

It's a piñata, it's a cake—it's a chocolate piñata cake from Serenade Chocolatier. Yes, each cake-shaped molded chocolate shell hides a surprise: It’s filled with the chocolatier’s signature artisanal chocolates. This show-stopping, mouthwatering celebration of chocolate could be called the crown jewel of Serenade's decadent offerings.

Even if the notion of a piñata cake forged of chocolate and filled with handcrafted treats isn’t enough to pique your interest (not that we can even imagine that), the story of Serenade will capture your heart. Bill Federer was a legendary Viennese chocolatier and Holocaust survivor. He came to the U.S. with nothing and, with the help of Jewish philanthropies, became a legend in Brookline, MA, for his incredible yet affordable chocolate treats. Current shop owner Nur Kilic was mentored by Federer until his death in 2006, and she continues the Viennese tradition of delectable chocolate delights.

The shell of the piñata cake is made from milk or dark chocolate, and you can choose a 6" or 8" size. Then get ready to celebrate by smashing the shell with the included wooden mallet. Carrie Kuempel, who told us about this spectacular treat, tells us the smashed bits are perfect for melting with some cream for fondue.

Prepare for pure chocolate bliss!
