This could come in super handy!!! I see a market for outdoor enthusiast too, like hikers, fishermen, backpackers, etc. Would be nice to not have to carry another charging device around!

To that end, I have three questions.

First, how tough is the battery? I sit a lot and I am not a small man. Lot of weight on the backside where the wallet sits!

Second, how resistant is it to water? If I fall into a creek while fishing, am I going to have a flaming backside once I am out of the creek due to a short circuit?

Third, can I adapt the built in output to charge another phone type with off the shelf adaptors?

Thanks for what seems like a great idea!

Hey! Thanks for the nice comments. Ever since we launched this product, it has become the only wallet which I use, and super convenient for traveling, going out, and because I am a guy that often forgets my normal charger.

    1. You have anything to worry about. This has never happened with the product to date. We have some hefty guys at the office who have been sitting on their wallets for months, plus it is quite comfortable being so small :).

    2. It is an electronic product, so too much exposure to water will most likely cause the battery to go faulty. On the upside, no chance of a flaming backside!

    3. The Apple version is specifically designed for Apple phones, and the MicroUSB/Android version for Androids. From what I know, there is an adapter one can purchase which would connect a MicroUSB cable to an iPhone, which would work in this case. Does this make sense?

    Thanks again!

Thanks Elliot. I don't mind ruining the thing if I do something stupid, like falling in a creek, but I don't want to have it short out on my backside! It sounds like you thought of everything!

As to charging different phones, I think the adapter should be easily modified. It looks to be a standard adaptor.

Great idea- I look forward to getting one soon!

This looks like a really great product. I am thinking of buying one for my son who has a Google Nexus phone. The list of specs listed compatibility only with iphones 5/5s/6/6plus. Yet, the description says compatible with Android and IOS phones. Please let me know if this wallet is compatible with Google Nexus phone. Thank you.

Hi Rebecca! I am sure that your son would like it very much. We have two versions - an Apple version and an Android version. The Google Nexus is an Android phone, so you would want the "Android Power Saver Wallet."

    Hope he enjoys it!

There are two options at the top (at least on my screen). One of the options is for the Apple version and one is for the Android version (74,95). Then you can choose the color on the next page. I have the black one myself :)

I hope this helps, otherwise I am sure someone at the Grommet can help you.

    Hi Jean,

Yes, you can use the Apple version of the Seyvr to also charge your iPad assuming it has the lightning port. The iPad battery is much larger than the iPhone though, so it will provide about a 15% charge for an iPad.

    Thanks!

Hi Renda, Good question! No, there is no issue at all with the wallet becoming too warm from the battery. In more scientific terms, the battery is relatively small so the heat it gives off quickly dissipates. In addition it is sealed within the leather with temperature resistant glue. Does that help? I feel like Einstein over here! :)

    Thank you,
