Snap'n Strain

Clip-On Strainer

Strain in the Pan

Clip this attachable strainer directly onto any pot or pan and seamlessly transfer out any liquid.

Instead of juggling a separate colander, Snap’n Strain clasps on extra securely—so you can tilt confidently.

Made from durable BPA-free silicone and rust-proof steel, Snap’n Strain resists the high temperatures of hot liquids and
dishwashers alike. The soft silicone conforms to different sized pots and its built-in spout gives you control as your pour.

And when you need to store it, this clip-on colander has a far lower profile than traditional ones. Keep it handy in a cupboard or drawer.

@Marilyn Thank you for the question, as long as the pot or pan is round, it will fit any size.

Are the stainless clips coated to keep from scratching nonstick surfaces?

Thanks @Todd! Yes it is completely covered by the silicone coating.

This also adds to the functionality by making it easier to grip and helps the clips stay cool to the touch.

what are the dimensions of this?

  • Josh

    @amy Thanks for the question.

At its widest point 5 inches and at the longest point 8.5 inches.

This makes it really compact and easy to store.

@Josh is there a "weight" limit before the grips start to slip? do you suggest nothing too heavy?

  • Josh

Thanks @amy! There is no official weight limit, however, we designed it to be remarkably strong and can withstand really heavy food loads without a problem.

Josh, is the silicone thick enough so that the stainless steel clips do not cut through the silicone over time.

    Thanks Gary

    Thank you, @Gary!

Yes, all the materials that we used were of the highest quality available in the market.

Besides for that, the coating by the clips has an extra layer built in for durability.

Will the strainer work on a pan that has a large lip?

Thanks @Donald. As long as the pan is round it will fit.

The video only shows small amounts of food in the pans. My concern is with a full pot that some of the food will spill over the top of the strainer as I tip it far enough to remove all of the liquid. Your thoughts?

    Excellent question @Lori thank you!

We tested it multiple times during production with full pots and different kinds of food. The food always stayed neatly in the pot while all the liquid got drained.

That's the beauty of this product, it is immensely versatile.

Will this fit on pots with a curved lip?

Great product. I make paneer cheese at home. Straining the tiny chunks of cheese from whey is always a challenge. I use a tea strainer for it currently. Do you plan to make the clip on strainer with smaller holes? It would be great for my purpose if it was available with smaller holes.
