Easy to use and works perfectly. The Filets were cooked to perfection. ONE of the great things about this product is that IT tells you when the steak ready to take off the grill. No more worries about hot or cold spots on the grill. YAY!

Highly Recommend this product.

Cooking with Steak Champ

7/11/2015 by David

I haven't had the chance to use it a lot, but have a few times. I have a grill that I keep the top down most of the time to keep the heat in.at in. So, it took me a bit of practice to keep time with my watch... then, raise the lid and look at the thermometer. Luckily, the light flashes... so, when I thought the time was right ... it was flashing yellow (my desired setting). I could have done without it... but, it was nice to know I was right on.
This was with Pork, which I've had more experience grilling. I'm not as sure of myself with beef... so, the thermometer will come in handy, and help me not to over cook anything.

Wow! What I have been waiting for.

I love this! I ordered it, was worried it was a bit pricey for what it does, and wasn't sure it would work in the oven broiler. It does, andf now I think it is worth every penny. I have yet to use it on the grill (weather has not been conducive), but stovetop steaks have been a whole new experience.More > < Less

removes guesswork

The Steak Champ is easy to use and gives a great picture of how your steaks are cooking. If you spend the money on a nice cut of beef you should also take precautions to insure it comes off the grill precisely as you enjoy! This small spike does exactly that and removes the guess work from the process.More > < Less

SteakChamp - Meat Thermometer

About SteakChamp

Foolproof Filet

To cook a steak perfectly, you need the ideal balance between time and heat. It’s an art form . . . and SteakChamp makes you a top-notch steak artist.

This patented steak thermometer uses an innovative three-light system to tell you when a steak is prepared just how you like it.

Simply turn on the thermometer with the activator, then insert into your steak. SteakChamp flashes different colors to let you know when your steak is about to be cooked medium rare, medium, or medium well. Then, when it starts to flash in double-time, the steak is ready to be removed from the heat. Boom. No more guesswork, no need to read the temperature on a meat thermometer, no more raw or charred meat.

German-born inventor Uli Sherraus and his team talked with food scientists and barbecue champions. And they also cooked more than 750 steaks to get the technology just right. The high-precision, intelligent measuring electronics they created take the core area temperature of the meat at several points along the probe. The result? A perfectly cooked steak. Or fish, duck, and wild game—it works for them, too.

Whether you cook it on the grill, in a pan, or in the oven, get your meat exactly right every time.
