Not Sure Yet

I'm not sure what went wrong but I could not get the light to work. I used it in our oven to roast a leg of lamb. Going to try it again.

Mixed review on this. We have a gas grill and normally keep the lid down but found this works better with lid up. However, it still seemed to go from blinking green to red quite quickly and the steak was still medium rare.More > < Less

1st Attempt was a Failure

I have only used it once on a Porter House Steak. It seemed to be working correctly. I flipped the steak when it started flashing green. It quickly went through Yellow and Red. The steak did not appear done, but the Red light went off. I left it on a few minutes longer because I wasn't convinced it was medium well. The light never resumed flashing. When I removed the steak and let rest, it still showed signs of blood. 10 minutes later, I cut it and it looked medium rare in the center where the shaft was stuck. I will try it again, but so far, I don't see the value.More > < Less

Not Worth The Price

I am a retiree, and so I do not buy steak all that often. The first three times I used this device, it worked beautifully. On the fourth time that I went to use it, I discovered it was now dead as a doornail. So, that is $20 a use to tell me when my steak was done, in addition to the already expensive cost of a really good, thick steak. Not worth it. I bought my Steak Champ less than a year ago.More > < Less
