Apparently most people pull charge cords by the wire instead of the plug. I was going through cords in our family areas wonder why. This amazing stuff was perfect to save the cord. I just mush around the connector and wire let dry and simple solution. It feels sort of like a soft hard material when done. Does not bend in a way to let the wire get broken. I am looking at other ways to use. So coolMore > < Less

This is the coolest stuff. You can make it any shape or size you want.

I really like this product

The Moldable Rubber packs resemble a stick of gum. Just unwrap one and you have a full half hour to mold it before sticking it where you want. You can unstick it during that time as well. Then let it dry and it is hard and durable. I have used it to make a small pad to balance a bowl , a table leg, and little dots to keep a shelf from sliding forward. I can think of lots of little jobs that are a pain to fix but will be easy with these molds. It is not sticky and is easy to handle. The white color dries to an opaque clear, not a pure white. It is almost invisible. These should be in everyone's kitchen "junk drawer" so you can make a quick fix.More > < Less

I vebeen buying this for years. It is strong, creative and makes broken items usable again. Can’t say enough good things about it. Crest a new handle for a cup, support cracks in a teapot, strengthen cords for electronics etc. This is essential for reusing favorites that have become broken or worn.More > < Less

Sugru: Buy it! Save $, resources & be kind to the environement.

I bought Sugru with my drawerful of disintegrating iPhone lightning cables in mind. It did not disappoint! I'm delighted knowing these shredding cables will not wind up in a landfill and that I will not be succumbing to over-consumerism by replacing them!
Love this stuff and now looking for all sorts of other potential uses. If you're an environmentalist, a creative minimalist, and a mindful consumer, give it shot. It's kind of fun!

About sugru

Can You Fix It?

It took more than six years for Jane ni Dhulchaointigh and a team of scientists to perfect her idea for a moldable, self-adhesive, and self-curing silicone material, but it only takes about six seconds to become totally enthralled with her brilliant invention.

Derived from the Irish word “súgradh,” which means “play,” sugru is a bit like modeling clay. It’s malleable when you first take it out of the sealed package, and it retains its plasticity for about 30 minutes. It can adhere to metal, glass, fabric and most plastics. It’s waterproof, and it cures at room temperature after about 24 hours.

Sugru is good for anything that needs fixing, modifying, customizing, or cushioning. Instead of throwing away a blender with a broken switch, you can make a new switch out of sugru. Disintegrating grip on your golf club? Hole in your sneakers? Missing piece on your keyboard? Patch them with sugru. Worried about dropping your camera or smartphone? Wrap the corners with sugru for extra protection. The possibilities are endless.

We’re all conscious about extending the lifespan of our things, both to save money and to reduce the amount of items sent prematurely to landfills. sugru makes it easy—and fun—to be resourceful.
