Better Fill Ups

Maker Brad Ouderkirk was fed up with spilling fuel on himself, his equipment, and his lawn (it happens to the best of us). So he created a Made in the USA, no spill gas can as a better way to fill up. SureCan dispenses fuel from the bottom, which makes it safer and more convenient to store and pour fuel. The durable container is not only easier to use, it also eliminates any heavy lifting—and the flexible spout means no more awkward angles trying to fill a tank. Brad didn’t stop at changing the dispensing location, he included a trigger release system to give you more control and an added measure of safety. Plus, he made the fill cap and spout child-proof, and the inner layer helps remove the smell of fuel. His redesign smartens up the filling up.

@Dee I should clarify, we sadly don't offer the Yellow diesel can here at The Grommet, but that is available from SureCan directly if you're a diesel fuel user!

Don't you still have to lift the can for filling anything above ground level? My heavy lifting days are over.

@Tootie Thank you for your comments, yes you do have to lift the SureCan up but the great thing about SureCan is you can rest it on most of the machines you are filling and rotate the spout down into the tank. This way you are not holding the weight of the can. All gas cans require you to lift them, SureCan makes it less awkward and lot easier to do.

It sounds great, but the concern is the additional leakage areas (bottom articulated filler hose and upper release trigger) compared to a basic fuel container with only a filler cap and a breather cap, both gasketed screw-on fittings, simpler in design.

What is the non-leakage warranty on these containers?

    Thanks!

@Michel Thank you for your comments! This is a valid concern, we have built SureCan with all the best materials and automotive standards. The seals and gaskets in the SureCan's valve and spout areas are the same material you would find in your car, lawnmower, or any other gas powered machines fuel tank. It has been tested and rated by the EPA and other testing facilities to last a long time without leaking.

If something does happen we do have a 1 year warranty that covers all manufacturer defects and we do have replacement parts available for purchase as well, you can replace the part and not the whole can.

I bought one of these cans a few months ago - absolutely LOVE it! Bought it for our lawn equipment but have had to use it helping friends when they ran out of gas in their cars - the fold down spout went into their tanks with ease! (funny thing - just saw a guy this morning on the side of the road with one of those "other" gas cans pouring gas onto a makeshift cardboard funnel 'cause his can would work on his car - got gas all over himself)

Does this can have an auto-stop once the tank is full that you are filling?

  • Trent
    Trent – Special Guest
    10/11/2017 11:27 AM

@joann Thank you for your question. SureCan does not have an automatic shutoff or auto-stop once the tank is full. With SureCan you are in full control of the flow of fuel and you can easily see into the tank you are filling, this way you know when to stop.

It's made from very heavy materials and is air (vapor) proof.
