Hello Grommet fans! I am very excited to share our one-of-a-kind and totally handmade cutting boards with all of you today. I’m here to answer any questions you may have, so ask away!
-
Impressive but I would think it would be hard to clean because of the cutouts.
-
@Sue Hi Sue, Thanks for your question, it's a good one. The food generally falls right through the cutouts but if anything gets stuck you can use a tooth pick or other small tool to get it out.
-
@Kim Hi Kim.....Just wondering what the character limits are on each item.....
-
@Travis Hi Travis, the character limit depends on the size. The large board or lazy susan will accomodate up to 15 characters and the small board up to 10 characters. In addition to letters we can do numbers, ampersand sign, heart or plus sign.
Thanks for the question! -
Kim - very attractive work. Is the cutting surface end grain or edge grain?
-
@Doug Hi Doug, Thank you! The cutting surface is edge grain.
Thanks for the question. -
Can the round cheese board be purchased without being a lazy Susan?
-
@Fran Hi Fran, yes it can! When you order just state that you don't want the lazy susan hardware. Instead we can put rubber feet on the bottom.
-
@Kim Would the price be the same without the lazy Susan hardware?
-
@Carol Hi Carol, yes the cost would be the same because the only thing we are changing is the hardware on the bottom.
-
How do you clean and preserve them?
-
@Debra Hi Debra, You would care for them like any other wood cutting board. Wash with mild soap and water and apply food-grade mineral oil as needed. Do not put in the dishwasher or let sit in water. Care instructions are included with each board.
Thanks for the question, it is important to know how to care for them!
