Love the art work!

1/5/2015 by Barbara

I ordered the wishbones to put in Thanksgiving favors for my family that also included jars of home-made jam. This was a big hit - the pewter carving is exquisite! Made everyone smile!! And then I reordered and put a ribbon on each so that friends and family could use as a holiday ornament. Will order more when they are re-stocked!! They are beautiful, sentimental reminders of family meals together, and everyone needs a reason to make more wishes. Just delightful!! Thanks so much for this realistic, beautiful, and precious work of art.More > < Less

What is this?

Love, love, love the wishbones! I grew up in a family where pulling a wishbone for good luck was a big deal. Now I have my very own for good luck but I certainly won't pull it!More > < Less

Tamara Hensick Designs - Pewter Sculpture or Art Objects

About Tamara Hensick Designs

Inspirational Art

Sometimes an object can convey just what you want to say, in just the right tone. Artist Tamara Hensick has a knack for taking a simple message—saying thank you, for example, or encouraging someone—and giving form to it. Her diminutive sculptures are a little whimsical, which keeps them from seeming too precious. When you see one of her creations, you want to pick it up and handle it, not hide it away for safekeeping.

Each of Tamara's designs is first sculpted in a soft jeweler's wax, then hand-cast in pewter by a family-owned business in California. Tamara, who says her dancing background influences her work, looks for inspiration in everyday life and finds beauty in our imperfections. She uses clever wordplay and symbolism to convey inspirational themes that express just what you want to say when a friend needs cheering up, or you want to encourage someone to stay strong, or you’re celebrating a rite of passage, such as graduation or a new job.

Spoken words are fleeting and easy to forget. But an art object, beautifully crafted with just the right sentiment, can last a lifetime.
