Makes a good gentle hand soap

7/3/2019 by Amanda

I have been purchasing this soap as a hand soap to cut down on the plastic waste from liquid soap dispensers (not quite ready to move on to bar soap!). This is gentle on the hands but does lather up well, and you don't need to use too much. A container lasts between a month and two months—and I wash my hands a lot! I've tried a few different scents and so far the lemon mint is my favorite. My only complaint would be that it can be a bit lumpy at times.More > < Less

Nice Soap!

6/6/2019 by Robin

I could not wait to get this soap home. I was a bit disappointed that it did not have more of water/rain water/clean cotton smell, but I love scooping out a bit and lathering up. I really like the soap, the lather, and softness I feel on my skin. I will reorder!More > < Less

About Taylor Street Soap Co.

Artisan Soaps

Baker-at-heart Rachel Wiandt of Taylor Street Soap Co. had dreams of mixing up cupcakes and cookies when she moved into a house with a second kitchen. The realities of running a bakery soon dampened that fire, so Rachel switched gears and began mixing up soaps instead—soaps that smell good enough to eat.

They’re all made in Chicago by hand and in small batches. Rachel’s whipped soaps look like frosting and some of them smell like it, too. It’s a fresh approach to soap that feels more like body butter—rich and creamy. Her bar soaps just plain feel special. They are colorful and fragrant and because each one is made by hand, each is a one-of-a-kind. They are packed with good-for-skin food-grade ingredients like olive, coconut, and avocado oil, shea butter, and oatmeal. Either sudsy way you go, Rachel’s handcrafted approach is a fresh take on washing up.
