Hello everyone! I'm proud to introduce Lifeprint to The Grommet. I'd be happy to answer any questions you have!
-
These appear to be very small prints. Any plans to make this technology available for larger prints? how long will the printer itself last before it will need to be replaced?
-
@Mary Jo the photos are 'wallet size' and perfect for sticking on your walls or laptop. That said, we do have plans for a larger format in the future but no official date yet
-
Do you offer an option to put a corporate logo on the printer to use as corporate gifts?
-
@Paula yes, though it depends on quantity. Please write to [email protected] and we should be able to help with this
-
@Paula Hi Paula. We can also take care of that as well! If you reach out to our Special Orders Team at [email protected], our team will be able to work with you to get what you would like.
-
Resolution??
-
Robert,
What a neat ideal. I love the idea that you can print right from your phone. I'm working on a project with small pictures of my grandkids and this, I think will be perfect for the project, AND, I don't have to bother with connecting my phone to the computer and resizing the photos. -
Do you have to replace the color crystals that are embedded? If so, how often roughly and what is the cost associated?
-
@Billy The printer is actually ink-less, which is super cool! All you need is the Lifeprint paper and your all set:)
-
If I print a video photo and send it to my mother-in-law, can she get the App and view the video as shown in the promotional video?
-
Hi @Catherine, if your mother-in-law has the printed photo and downloads the free app, without logging-in can view the photo come to life!
-
This looks to be a promising item but the size of the prints are very small. Might be interested if they were larger prints.
-
Hi @James, we like to think of this printer as the perfect travel size, the pictures are printed as a 2x3. With that in mind we do have plans for a larger format in the future but no official date yet.
-
Do you have plans to develop a larger device? I think the only reason most people print pictures these days is to frame them, but these are very small.
-
obviously you have to add paper, but if it is "ink less" what else do you have to add? Toner??
-
Hi @stephanie, Just a touch of magic needs to be added :)
Add paper and print - tada! The paper is ink-less, smudge proof, and has an optional sticky back. -
How long will the printer itself last before it needs to be replaced? These appear to be very small prints, any plans to make this technology available in a larger model?
-
Great product! What size are the photos? And does it come with a battery charger? Thanks!
-
@Sarah Hi Sarah. Thanks! We think it's pretty nifty as well. The photos are 2" x 3" and it comes with a USB charging cord.
-
What is the life of the prints? How best to store them?
-
Query: WWhat is longevity of print quality? Does heat effect
print before and/after activation? -
Does this work by using wi-fi? And can it work with any type of smartphone? Also- how big are the prints?
-
@April Hi April! The Lifeprint works through Bluetooth so it's compatible with iPhones and Android phones. The prints come out to be 2" x 3".
-
does it work with i-phone and android?
-
@james Hi James! Yes, the Lifeprint works via a Bluetooth connection so it's compatible with both Androids and iPhones.
-
How long do these “inkless” crystals last?
-
Will these pictures fade over time like polaroids used to do.
-
Can it be used while plugged in?
-
What size are the prints? They seem small. Is that the only size? The paper -- How many photos/$19.95 pack?
-
@Shelly Hi Shelly! Yes, the prints are smaller, sized at 2" x 3". Perfectly pocket-sized. The refill pack is 30/$19.95, 110/$49.95.
-
Do you have any plans to make a larger size of this? I wouldn't have much use for photos that small.
-
It looks awesome but I wonder about the crystals. do they need refilling and how often?
-
Are you the only source for this photo paper? I am concerned about getting addicted to this product and then not being able to replace the paper.
-
How small are the prints? They appear smaller than a business card. Are they little like the strip of four you get from a photo booth?
-
Hi @Jonathan, the photos printed are 2" x 3".
-
Receipts printed with heat sensitive ink will fade if exposed to further heat. Are photos printed with heat-sensitive paper susceptible to the same thing?
-
What size is the finished pic?
-
@Charlene Hi Charlene! The finished photo will be 2" x 3"
-
What refills does the ZINK system require, how many prints from each, and what is their approximate cost?
-
Hi @Nathan, the paper comes in packs of ten, so tens prints, then it needs to be refilled.
-
How do you make a video with it and PLEASE make a larger one 4x6 would be great
-
Hi @Cozette, super easy! Just upload a short video, connect the printer click print after selecting which video you want, and tada, you just printed a real video! Then, with the app, you can scan it and watch it come to life like magic!
-
Can it run off of the charger if the battery is dead?
-
Hi @Aria, similar to a smartphone, you can print while it's charging:) The printer has a charging USB cable that comes in the box :)
