Extra Cozy & Comforting

When Hindi Zeidman took in a foster baby named Oliver, he was failing to thrive. With the advice of a pediatric neurodevelopment psychologist, Hindi created the Ollie Swaddle, a swaddling blanket Ollie couldn’t kick off when he was stressed. Unlike standard baby swaddling blankets, Ollie Swaddle is made of non-bulky material with moisture-wicking properties that keep babies cool. It’s oversized and has Velcro that lets you adjust it as your baby grows. An opening at the bottom lets you change a diaper easily. And it starts lower, so it won’t come too close to your baby’s face. Swaddling has been shown to reduce fussiness and help babies sleep. It can reduce stress in preemies and high-risk infants and ease the pain of colic. It can also help keep baby in a safe, supine sleeping position and prevent sudden jerky arm and leg movements that wake babies up. Ollie’s story has a heartwarming ending: He was adopted by a loving family. Hindi went back to school for a master’s degree and, in 2014, launched the company named for Oliver. The Ollie Swaddle comes in giftable packaging. The best gift it gives is sleep and comfort for little loved ones.

How "loud" and/or sticky is the Velcro? With my last baby the Velcro on the swaddle wrap was very sticky and very loud to undo - waking him every time.

@Chrissy Thank you so much for reaching out to us. This is such great questions! Our velcro is custom made, so it has a smaller hook than most typical velcro. So, although it is not has "loud" as other velcro, it still does make a sound when you are un-hooking the velcro attachments. We hope this helps to answer your question. Please let us know if we can answer any further questions.

@Sara You will want to wrap it until it's just snug. for most babies this will mean wrapping it almost all the way around.

    thanks!
