Hi Grommeters!
I'm Perry, proud father of two and Creative Director at The Shrunks. We're dedicated to making bedtime fun and safe for kids, wherever they are. I promise I won't take nap time until I answer all of your questions! -
How do you wash it?
-
Hi Kim,
You can always find this type of information in the details portion which you'll find when you click into the box that says "buy" in orange. It's recommended to hand wash the outer blanket. You'll need to first remove the inner inflatable mattress and then hand wash the fleece mat. -
@Amy Thanks Amy! Kim, it's super easy to remove the blanket portion from the inflatable mattress inside.
-
Looks like a great idea… but having to hand wash the blanket is a deal-breaker for me. If the blanket is detachable, why can't it go into the washing machine?
-
Hi Nancy, you can certainly machine wash the blanket. There may be some 'standard' info on the product or packaging that says hand washing is recommended.
-
Any chance adult size mats are in the future? They'd be great for sleeping bags, overnight train rides and so on.
Would washing them on the gentle cycle be close to hand washing? Thanks! -
@Marcia I guess I'm cheap but $69.+ seams quite pricey for a bat mat!
-
Marcia, we are actually working on an adult version, though the release date is yet to be determined.
-
@Perry PLEASE let us know when the adult version is available. I have no guest room, and three grandsons who are growing out of anything "kid-sized." Also -- you definitely need to get the price down -- so it competes with buying an "air-bed" & pump at the local retail store.
-
@NANCY Hi Nancy, we will be posting to our Facebook page once it is available. Please Like our page to be notified. There will likely be a draw/giveaway for that as well. Please also check out our full line of beds - the Kids Bed is actually big enough for smallish adults! :)
-
Hi Marcia, sorry I just realized I had not answered your other question - yes, machine wash on a gentle cycle would be good.
