works out the kinks

My daughter love it when I rub her body down with it. The hulk of the house, my youngest son, uses it hours after an extreme workout. Thumbs up all around.More > < Less

Wonderful Tool!

OK, so two years ago I spent about 6 months in a boot after spraining my ankle as bad as a sprain could be without tearing. My orthopedic surgeon said that in his 40 years of being a doctor, he'd never seen one this bad, where the ligaments didn't tear. I spent another 3 or 4 months doing PT. Then the following spring I sprained it AGAIN. I did MORE PT, and I've continued to do PT on my own. It's much better now, but the systemic inbalances the injury wreaked upon the rest of my body have been really difficult. I'm addressing them with yoga, strengthening exercises, various supplements, etc.

One thing that happened was I began to have pain in my other leg. Debilitating pain. Knots in the long muscles of my thighs cramping up and pulling everything out of joint. Sitting too long caused pain, walking, standing. Waking up I was in pain, at night I was in pain. Stew would massage me and it would help for a day, but then we wouldn't have time again for a week and BOOM: Pain within 24 hours.

Additionally, I've always had tight calves, and there's a point at which stretching them doesn't help. The muscles need assistance to relax, and to release the knots in there. I cant' get the leverage I need to get them to release on my own. I don't have money for a massage every week - or even once a year.

Enter the Tiger Tail. I got this thing and it's WONDERFUL. I've been using it for less than a week and already the pain in my legs is MUCH reduced. I am waking up - NOT IN PAIN. Just normal stiffness - but not PAIN. I use the Tiger Tail 2 times a day. When I get up, and before bed. I sometimes use it right after work too.

It's WONDERFUL. I can get the knots in my thighs, calves, shins, all to relax. I've also used it on my glutes and hips. Wonderful tool.

Works IT Bands

This is great for stretching IT bands and is much easier to use than the large foam roller I had purchased for that purpose. Thanks Grommet, I love your gadgets.More > < Less

Great Massager!

I bought this for my husband for his birthday to use on his tight shoulder muscles and problems with his calf muscles tightening up on him. It works great! He doesn't need much pressure to feel this tiger tail work. When I use it on myself, I like more pressure but have no problem working out the knots on my neck and shoulders. I would recommend this for anyone who needs this to help with aches and cramping!More > < Less

Excellent product for rehab or recovery

I've been using these for years, before the launch on here. 4 years ago I had a bad MC accident and had to go through physical therapy. Theyherapy. They were using the item called 'the stick' which is hard plastic with rollers that grab your leg hair.
I showed them my Tiger Tail and they bought one.
Last year I had a co-worker show me this massager that all the physical therapist were using at the center. Yes, it was the Tiger Tail.

Here's what makes it different: The foam, while not really thick, has enough give so you can vary the amount of pressure. This allows you to start 'digging' before it gets painful. Whereas the other types out there are kind of "all or nothing."

I bought two, the 18" and they used to have a 24", but the 18" will just fit in a check back or 20" carry on, so you can take it on the road.

I hope this helps, excellent product.

Tiger Tail - Trigger Point Massagers

About Tiger Tail

Roll With It

Muscles in the human body are so interconnected that even one painful knot in your back can tug at your neck, which gnaws at your shoulder, which numbs your arm. Relax. With Tiger Tail therapeutic massage tools, the next time you feel a kink, just roll with it.

Tiger Tail was founded by Spring Faussett, a former D-1 soccer player, whose physical therapists suggested using a foam roller or rolling pin to heal scar tissue after ACL surgery. Instead, she designed a hybrid of the two that worked more efficiently—and she manufactures it in the USA.

The best selling Classic Tiger Tail is a conveniently sized (18") roller that allows for individualized pressure control. It releases and relieves sore muscles in as little as 4 minutes. The Tiger Ball is a massage ball on a rope. It targets tough areas in the neck and back.

There’s also the Knotty Tiger. . . grrrrr . . . perfect for spot treatment, this baseball sized buster digs deep to alleviate tension.
