Mad Mattr Moldable Doh

Kinetic “Sand”

Is it therapy dough or moldable kinetic sand? Mad Mattr is both. Sculpt, stretch—even crumble—it and watch the texture change from sandy to silky soft in seconds.

It feels kind of like wet sand but without any sticky residue. Stretch your creativity to build a mini masterpiece or simply knead to relax your senses.

One of the
most innovative properties of this dough is that it won’t dry out. You can leave a scoop on your desk to de-stress or display your most recent creation for days.

Even though it was first designed to be therapeutic, Mad Mattr is also just plain fun. The potential for entertainment or distraction is right in your hands.

Can you give me a more direct answer. If a 3 year old took a bite and swallowed it. Would medical intervension be requird? Some kids as all parents know are curious about the taste of things.

@Jay and are the ingredient from America, and the products produced in America?

  • Jay
    Jay – Special Guest
    10/26/2016 11:40 AM

@M. Rose Mad Mattr is produced in Sweden, therefore has Europe's high quality standards.

I have personally seen children "taste test" Mad Mattr and no medical intervention was required-they did, however, state that it didn't taste good and they made a firm resolution not to eat it again! Mad Mattr is made up of a microscopic sized ceramic bead and polymer-so long as your child is not allergic to those items, they should be fine.

Is is anti microbial enough to use in a clinical setting where many people would be handling it over time?

  • Jay
    Jay – Special Guest
    10/26/2016 12:21 PM

@Nancy It is naturally antimicrobial and holds no moisture. We have not tested it to exceed clinical testing standards so we cannot verify that.

Is it safe around pets? They tend to grab and eat anything. What happens if the eat it?

  • Jay

    10/26/2016 12:32 PM

@FELICE Mad Mattr has passed all toy safety standards and is non-toxic, but that doesn't mean you should be eating it. WABA Fun does not perform animal testing, therefore I can't tell you what happens if your pet eats it. We encourage customers to keep anything not specifically designed for pets out of reach of pets.

@Jay I keep all things "out of reach" of pets however, I have one dog that is very ingenious when it comes to getting what she wants. She knows how to open doors, unlock doors, and can get into most anything she has a mind to. Why doesn't your company try to find out what would happen to a dog if they ate it? Would a vet be necessary?

@Sandra Wow! Sounds like your pup keeps you busy! It's certainly something worth looking into...WABA Fun does not perform animal testing currently, therefore I can't tell you what happens if your pet eats it. We encourage customers to check with an animal expert-your veterinarian-if you are concerned.

It says "easy to clean" I'm assuming that means easy to clean up whatever surface its on. I was wondering though if the Doh itself can be cleaned. We all know that when kids play with it the Doh will pick up all kinds of "stuff".

  • Jay
    Jay – Special Guest
    10/26/2016 12:36 PM

@Carolyn Because Mad Mattr has no moisture, it is considered anti-microbial (bacteria cannot grow in it). We have not attempted to sanitize the Mad Mattr itself, but yes, it is very easy to clean up from whatever surface you've played with it on.

  • Jay

@Robert Very interesting question! However, as we have not tested Mad Mattr for such a use, I couldn't say if it would be ideal for that.

@Jay . Say Jay ( a bit of rhyme here) This could be a great help to all those who would use MM for small jewelry casting ... and small product prototyping. Would it not be worthwhile for you to test it for such a use, and be able to add that use to your advertising? Using similar test studies we have been sucessful in adding credentials to our own pet supply product line.

I see that this stuff is listed as "non-toxic". What would happen if a dog got hold of it and ate it? It says it is made up of ceramic bead and binder? What exactly is that? What would happen to a dog if they got a hold of it and swallowed a lot of it? l love the looks of this stuff; it looks like a lot of fun...but I also have a house full of dogs and I have to know if this is in any way dangerous to them.
