Light It Up

The idea to create a wide beam flashlight was born when Ron Pritchett had a near-miss spill on the basement stairs. He was doing that back and forth motion with his flashlight to sweep light across the entire area in front him, and it caused him to miss a step and nearly fall. He invented TripleLite to illuminate a 180 degree arc, which matches your field of vision. The curved design gives you major visibility, thanks to three carefully-arranged, ultra-bright LED bulbs. His smart, simple upgrade really was a bright idea.

Hi Ron, the light looks great. One weird question: What is the diameter of the handle for both the mini and the original? I'm thinking of bike use and knowing the handle diameter would help in figuring out a mount.

  • Keith
    Keith
    9/8/2017 12:20 PM

@Nancy Is that diameter or circumfrence. 5 1/4" would be bigger than a tennis ball can. Doesn't look that big from the video...

  • Keith
    Keith
    9/8/2017 12:49 PM

@Nancy If you stated circumference that would work out to a diameter of just short of an inch for the Mini and 1.67" for the large. That looks a lot more consistent with the pics and video.

Hi Keith, I believe I miswrote that. The diameter of the Large is 1 1/2 inches and diameter of the Mini is 3/4 inch. The circumference of the Large is 5 1/4" and the Mini, 3 inches. Sorry! We are actually working on a mount for the TripleLite180 and hopefully, will have available on The Grommet at some point. Keep checking!

@Ron Hi Ron! I'm thinking about ordering one of each size for this flashlight. My only concern is that, if a bulb does happen to go out, there is no way the consumer could just purchase another led bulb to replace it? Am I understanding correctly on this? Also do the bulbs in the mini and the regular the same size?

  • Ron
    Ron – Special Guest
    9/8/2017 2:10 PM

Hi Jacqueline! Our led bulbs last over 50,000 hours so there should be no need to replace. If, in a rare occurrence, a bulb did go out, you could return it and it would replaced. The bulbs in the Large model are slightly larger I believe. I'm not completely sure, so I will check and get right back to you.

  • Ron
    Ron – Special Guest
    9/8/2017 12:28 PM

@Yolanda Hi Yolanda, Absolutely! Our 180º flashlight will light up an entire trail or pathway from left to right, which is your entire field of vision, instead of having to wave the traditional flashlight back and forth to see. Either the Large or Mini would work for walking your Golden Retriever; however, the Large does give out a brighter light if you are in an especially dark area. The Mini is great for emergencies or for use in your home. It is great to keep in your glove compartment of the car or in a night stand or kitchen cabinet.
