Bake Like A Pro

The secret to delicious baked goods? It’s in the pan. Commercial bakers around the world depend on bakeware from Bundy Baking Solutions, founded by brothers John and Russell Bundy more than 50 years ago. In fact, nearly every loaf of bread you buy today has been made in one of their pans. Now the family business is bringing its bakeware expertise into the home through its consumer line, called USA Pan. This home bakeware is constructed of aluminized steel, just like the industrial baking pans that made the company famous. USA Pan uses 65% recycled steel to make its products, which are manufactured in Pittsburgh. Each pan is also coated with the company’s proprietary silicone coating. It’s clear, non-stick, and doesn’t contain any polytetrafluoroethylenes (PTFE) or perfluorooctanoic acids (PFOA). The thickness of the steel is designed to allow even heat distribution, and steel wires embedded in the rims provide additional strength and resistance to warping. You’ll also notice the surface of the pans is corrugated, which minimizes contact with food for more even cooking and an easier release from the pan. You can find all the usual cookie sheets and cake pans at USA Pan, plus a few surprises. The Pullman Loaf Pan is what pros use to create perfectly square breads for sandwiches. And for the perfect brownies, the Brownie Bite Panel Pan has 20 wells, so everyone gets that ideal chewy edge/gooey center combo. To make sure your bakeware stays in shape for all your favorite foods, you’ll want to hand-wash it with mild dishwashing soap. No harsh abrasives or steel wool pads, and no putting it in the dishwasher since detergents may damage the surface of the pan. But trust us, you won’t mind getting your hands a little soapy. The pro performance is worth it!

These pans sound amazing. One question.

With other baking pans, you have to either grease or spray them to ensure easy removal of your baked goodies. Do you still have to do this with USA Pans?

@Paula There's nothing worse than perfect cookies that get burnt bottoms! Sorry you're experiencing that. USA Pans suggests that because the pans conduct heat very efficiently, it's good to pay careful attention to what you have cooking. If your recipes seem to keep coming out a little overdone you can reduce the time and temperature as necessary. I'd suggest shaving a minute or two off your bake time, and go from there.

USA Pans also suggest to follow recipe instructions regarding greasing, flouring, and the use of cooksprays, even though their pans are non-stick.

Hope this helps. Come back and let us know if it improves your results!
