This is the second rolling pin I've bought for Christmas giving. One went to California and the other is going to Germany. I seek out well-made,t well-made, hand-made, artful, Made in America gifts. It's perfect. I'll be ordering more sometime soon...maybe as a gift to myself!More > < Less

I bought this rolling pin about four years ago at the Saturday farm market in Burlington when our son was a student at UVM. Gave it to our daughter-in-law and always thought I should have bought another......and then just found it here! So happy!More > < Less

I love this rolling pin. It is beautiful and has a nice weight to it. Most importantly it does its job well, it rolls things out just like it should.More > < Less

Beautiful French Rolling Pin

12/25/2014 by Patsy

This rolling pin is a work of art. It is absolutely beautiful and perfect in every way. It is just the right weight and fits my hands perfectly not to mention the gorgeous walnut wood. I find it easy to use and to clean. It is too beautiful to hide in a drawer so I keep it out so I can admire it. Thank you for making this wonderful rolling pin.More > < Less

About Vermont Rolling Pins

Perfect Crust

Properly rolled dough is crucial to many a culinary delight, be it pasta, pie, or tart. With a balanced, sturdy feel in your hand, and smooth, assured action on the countertop, Vermont Rolling Pins are artistry in motion.

Each starts as a block of artisan wood, carefully chosen for its grain and color by Maker and lifelong Vermonter Ken Freeman. (We smiled upon learning that the types of wood Ken uses sound like perfect pie ingredients: maple, cherry, and walnut.)

With patience and intuition, Ken hand-turns each rolling pin in his mountainside workshop as his watchful eye brings out the wood’s character. He sands until the pin reaches a satiny finish, then seals it with a protective beeswax mineral oil that enhances the natural beauty.

Vermont Rolling Pins make great gifts, but their handling and appearance are so superior you may just want your own. These heirloom quality instruments are made to be used—and admired—for generations.
