Grommet Launch Conversation

Hello everyone! I'm proud to introduce Wild & Wolf multi-tools to The Grommet. I'd be happy to answer any questions you have!

Hello everybody!
I just wanted to say hi and give a little snapshot of our company.
Wild and Wolf began in Bath, UK about 13 years ago with one tool: an earlier version of the hammer tool with the little screwdrivers in the handle. (The newest iteration being offered here today) It became a huge success and 10 years later Wild and Wolf opened an office in Brooklyn, NY with 4 employees. I was the 5th.
Fast forward 3 years to today, and I'm sitting in a Manhattan office with 10 brand new coworkers and an wall being torn down 15 feet away from me.
I mention all of this for 2 reasons:
1) I hope this partly explains why I may not be able to answer your questions right away -- as we are in flux trying to get new people settled in during a busy time of the year. I will do my best though!
and 2) throughout all our growth and category expansion, there has been one solid product range that is most responsible for where we are today: Gentlemen's Hardware. Specifically the Gentlemen's Hardware multi-tools. The tools you see here today are our newest and our best to date. They make great gifts, but more importantly, they are quality-made and endlessly useful.
You won't regret having one in your office drawer...
Thank you so much for viewing and we humbly thank all of our customers.

Too bad you decided to name this a "gentlemen's" tool. There are women out here in this big ol' world who would love this tool. I'm a 71-year old former farm girl who does most of my own handiwork around my home. How about being a little more generic in the name of your tools. We would appreciate it.

@Lynne, so agree...

Hi Lynne,
I don't have much in the way of a defense here because you're right.
My grandmother was born in Montana in a farm house with a dirt floor. I'll try, but I will never be as handy or proficient with tools as she was. (Her anti-racoon contraptions were legendary)
So, does marketing tools specifically to men perpetuate a false notion of man's proficiency with tools and a woman's lack thereof? I think so, right?
However, dare I say that nail polish is marketed to women...and that some men wear it? I could point out many other products that are specifically oriented towards men or women specifically, but that does not make it ok.
I'll stop there as I could go on and on.
I will certainly bring up this topic up when I next meet with the design team. (and I'm serious about that as I admit it's a topic I didn't even think about, and I'm curious to hear what the rest of our team thinks)
Anyway, thank you for pointing that out as it's great point and an important discussion to have. -
Which one is the one featured?

@Valerie - it the for $22 Hammer and Plier Multi-tool. :-)
