WINGBRUSH

Tight Spots

Tight spots between teeth can benefit from an interdental cleaner, but the task of using one can seem daunting and time-consuming. So Dr. Louis Balhmann created his own cleaning tool for teeth that makes the process easier so people would actually use it. This deeper-cleaning method is like flossing but better. It’s an especially great way to clean if you have braces or bridge work. WINGBRUSH gets into spaces that a toothbrush can’t reach to make sure teeth are as clean as can be. It is made up of two parts: a guided brush and a feeler. This design helps line the brush up with gaps between teeth, and helps prevent unwanted pokes, too. It takes a few tries to get used to using the brush, but once you experience the ultra-clean feeling it delivers, we think you’ll happily add it to your routine.

Quick Questions

How do I know which size to order?

The brush should fit comfortably into your interdental spaces. If you have to force it heavily into the interdental space, it is too big. Refer to the sizing chart for more information on brush sizes.

Are the replacement heads sold separately?

We don't sell the refills separately, however your order will include eight replacement heads. By the time you've gotten through all eight replacements, it'll be about time to replace the handles as well and you can order a new full set.

Can I use the WINGBRUSH more than once?

Like a toothbrush, you can wash the WINGBRUSH and its brushes and use it again. The lifespan depends on how often you use the tool and how well you clean it. It's recommend that you change the brushes of the WINGBRUSH weekly for an optimal cleaning effect.

Should I use the WINGBRUSH before or after brushing my teeth? How often do I have to clean my approximal gaps?

You should clean the approximal gaps before brushing your teeth. By using the WINGBRUSH, plaque is removed and the active ingredients of tooth paste can then reach all the surfaces of your teeth.

It's suggested that you clean your interdental spaces once every 24 hours. We know this is hard, but this is exactly the time it takes for bacteria to spread, build acids, and attack your teeth.

My gums are bleeding after using WINGBRUSH. What is wrong?

In most cases nothing is wrong. Gum bleeding is normal if you use an interdental brush for the first time. In case the bleeding doesn’t stop after 3-4 cleaning sessions, please consult your dentist.

I have braces/permanent retainer. Can I use the WINGBRUSH?

The WINGBRUSH is perfect for people with braces or a permanent retainer. Tooth decay and gum disease can be the result of plaque between your braces. The WINGBRUSH helps you to access the space between the wire (usually inaccessible with floss) and your teeth to prevent plaque.

Should children use the WINGBRUSH?

No. In general, young people should start with interdental cleaning from the age of 16. Young people usually still have teeth standing very close to each other with relatively "a lot" of gum. As they grow older, bone and gums naturally recede and the spaces between the teeth become larger. However, in special cases (like braces or retainers) the WINGBRUSH can be very useful. In this case, contact your dentist for individual advice.
