LASTING MEMORIES

Wish Upon a Wedding gives couples facing serious illness or a life-altering circumstance personalized weddings and vow renewal ceremonies. Focused on uniting friends and family while giving the couples the courage to persevere through their circumstances, these events take on even greater significance. While planning a wedding giveaway in 2009, Founder Liz Guthrie realized there were many deserving couples in need and many generous businesses willing to donate services. What was missing was a way to match the two. Liz started Wish Upon a Wedding to bring those couples and businesses together, and has helped over 100 couples say “I do” since. Supporting this non-profit—with your time, talent, or a donation—can give a couple and their loved ones irreplaceable memories.

They are in awe and oftentimes inspired. When you take a moment to think about what some of our couples are facing in their lives it makes you really appreciate the small things and the beauty of what a ceremony, wedding or vow renewal really means.

The wedding industry, our volunteers, all of our wish granters have often said that working on a wish has been one of the most rewarding experience of their lives. Event industry individuals have a shared passion for celebrating love. By bringing this passion together that we all have, we have helped build Wish Upon a Wedding and grant more than 100 wishes to couples, giving them just one day away from their illness to just be in love.
