Hidden comfort

Sometimes flats and heels just don’t look right with socks. But, going sock free can result in cold feet and blisters. That’s why Shelby Mckee created Keysocks—no show knee highs that give you the look you want without sacrificing warmth or comfort. The idea for Keysocks was born on a fall Sunday in 2009. Shelby had tickets to a football game and wanted to wear flats, but brisk temperatures threatened to cramp her style. Then, in a moment of sheer genius, she grabbed some scissors and cut holes in a pair of her husband’s dress socks. Many prototypes later, she launched Keysocks. Unlike flimsy peds that slip and get scrunched up under foot, Keysocks stay comfortably in place hidden from view under any full-length pants or jeans. To wear, just pull Keysocks over your calf first, and position over your toes accordingly. Nobody would ever guess your feet were covered from knee to toe.

My name is Shelby, and I'm the founder of Keysocks. After years of wrestling with traditional footies that always fell off my feet or scrunched up, I decided to take matters into my own hands. Armed with scissors and my husband’s knee-high dress sock, I created the first Keysocks 4 ½ years ago. After countless revisions with material and cuts, we have come up with the ultimate no-show sock! Keysocks are a fashion-must for every woman’s wardrobe, allowing style and comfort to coexist.

Need to make this design in light compression for those of us who need a mild support stocking but want to wear an open shoe. Would buy a light compression stocking in this style in a second!

@Amy How wide of a calf would these stocking fit. And I agree of a light compression since I have swelling in one calf.

As a larger woman myself, I'd like this information also! If it doesn't accommodate a larger calf, perhaps you'd consider making a "plus size" also??

    Hi Brigitte,

When you click into the product and select the drop down for options, there is a neutral color. Please let me know if you don't see it. Thanks

Are these thick like traditional socks or thin like a nylon?

    Hi Deniene,

Good question. They aren't like nylon. I would say they are similar to a thin cotton sock.
