Reversible Hooded Scarf

Have-on-hand Hood

No need to carry around a rain coat or umbrella for just-in-case rain. This reversible hooded scarf keeps you dry—and folds away neatly when the shower has passed.

One side of RainScarf is soft and cozy, which is perfect for everyday use. Flip it inside out to reveal the rain-ready side, which is water repellant and has a hidden
hood. Two zippered pockets keep your stuff secure—and dry.

This double-duty scarf was created by Just Solutions, a team of problem solvers who want to make every day a little easier through small-but-effective solutions. Unlike a rain coat, it’s compact and lightweight, and easy to keep on-hand. And you don’t have to hold it, like an umbrella—which also isn’t allowed everywhere, like inside stadiums.

Keep one tucked away in your bag or in the car and never get caught unprepared again.

@Lori Chong Hi Lori, yes, Scarf is machine washable. It is 100% Taffeta on the Scarf side and 100% Rayon on the water proof side.

The sample photo shows a magenta scarf but I didn't see this listed as an option, is it available? What is the fabric content on the soft side? Is it fleece?

I love the idea and the stylish function as well! Will you be releasing more color/style options? If so, when?

@Katie Hey Katie, did you check out the color options? There are 5 listed on the Grommet: Black, Burgundy, Plaid, Grey, and Indigo. We may release more colors based on demand, if we do, The Grommet will be the first to know. But I'm sure you'll love one of the available colors.

Great idea! Is the scarf suitable for summer use or is it intended to keep you warm and dry?

@Deborah Hi Deborah, thanks. The fabric is light enough that it can be used in the summer, especially at night.

I like the idea of this, but have a few questions.

    1. Description says "One side of RainScarf is soft and cozy, which is perfect for everyday use. Flip it inside out to reveal the rain-ready side...." Does this mean on a dry day, you'd have the (probably less soft and cozy if it's like most water-repellant) rain-ready side against the skin? Or is it a tube that you have to turn inside out? The photo of the packaging may be showing that, but I can't see it well enough to know.

    2. Hood is not available when using the dry side?

    3. I don't think of taffeta as soft and comfortable - it's usually somewhat stiff, and also fairly noisy. Does the fabric rustle like most taffeta?

@Rebecca Hi Rebecca. On a dry day, all you feel is the soft fabric. it is a tube that reverses in and out completely.

When using the dry side, it is a regular scarf, hood is completely tucked away inside, even you wouldn't know that there was a hood on the inside.

This fabric is soft. The thread count is not high enough to give it that stiff feeling you mentioned. The fabric doesn't rustle either.

    Hope this helps.
