Wear them daily and have many compliments. Needed non RX sunglasses after eye surgery.

second pair

2/3/2018 by Val

This is my second pair of Woodies. However, one lens had 2 parallel little scratches in corner when I took them out of the case. It's not a big deal for the price of the glasses.More > < Less

I already broke one of the ear pieces so recommend using the hard-sided case provided with purchase. I plan to reorder when available.

Really cool glasses

8/14/2017 by Laree

I really like these glasses. I wish they had lenses that protected the eyes better from the sun. They are wonderfully clear and just the right darkness but the lens doesn't cover the eyes well.More > < Less

About Woodies

Natural Shades

The wooden sunglasses from Woodies are based on classic designs, with a cool twist—the arms are made from wood.

Woodies uses walnut, zebrawood, and rosewood, and lets the natural grain and markings shine through. But it doesn’t weigh these shades down—each pair is lightweight, with double-spring stainless steel hinges to help stay in shape. And the dark lenses are polarized for extra protection from the sun, too.

Founder Cory Stout is all about the beach. He’s at the helm of Woodies while traveling around the globe, and always has his captain’s hat on—literally. His fascination with wood paneled station wagons popular in the 1960s surf scene (nicknamed woodie wagons) sparked the idea to use wood in an unexpected way. His sunglasses have a decidedly beachy vibe, but with timeless frame styles that create the perfect combination for the beach or beyond.
